During orientation I had the thought that I would pick up pine cones and keep them for certain, notable days in my life. But, I haven't done that since. Rather, I seem to have my camera on me more often than not and taking pictures of the pine cones instead of actually picking them up and keeping them is probably more efficient.
So this pine cone is one I found during a walk with Gustavo in front of an odd little cabin that was once used as an outdoor classroom for elementary students in Flagstaff. It's in front of an adorable little pond, next to a park, next to baseball fields, next to a dog park, next to an ultimate frisbee zone, next to the forest where we walked up a hill through half-melted snow.
